Greg was the older brother to Dorothy(1908) and Julia(1913). The family resided at 829 Los Robles Ave. Pasadena and attended Church at the First Congregational Church of Pasadena where Greg was to meet the love of his life and future spouse (married June, 1928)--Grace Harriet GERTMENIAN.
Greg attended Occidental Collage,--worked for his father-in-law for a while and finally graduated in 1933: he then obtained a teaching credential from USC in 1934 and took a teaching position at a local Pasadena private school.
In late 1920`s Greg and Grace had their first child, a boy-- and they named him after Greg, "Gregory Edson LAWRENCE,Jr." Later a second son would arrive, John and they called him 'Jack".
The year 1938 was big for the Lawrence family-- as they moved into a new home in South Pasadena (next door to Grace`s parents) on Columbia Street and Greg accepted a new position with Glendale High School teaching electronics. In this job he became legend to many generations of young students graduating from Glendale High, enabled to go on to higher learning and rewarding careers.

Gravesite Details
During WWII Mr. Lawrence taught Electronics at Caltech at night.
