He married Wanda Lee Cates and they resided in Vinita. They had three children together; two sons, Stephen and James C., and one daughter, Lee Ann.
He had a long practice as a dentist in Vinita. He was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church in Vinita, member and past president of the Vinita Lions Club, a member of the board of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association, member and past president of the Northern Oklahoma Dental Association, member of the American Legion and served as rodeo chairman for the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo.
Dr. Boone died Sunday, 10 JUN 2007, at Craig General Hospital in Vinita after an illness. He was 78 years of age.
