Esther M. (Doherty) Barry, 93, of Brockton, died July 15, 2011. Native of Dorchester, she resided in Brockton since 1960 and was a homemaker who enjoyed going to Mass, reading, watching television and sweets. One of nine children, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Russell) Doherty. She was the wife of the late John J. Barry, beloved mother of John Joseph Barry IV of Vermont, Michael Barry (and the late Julie) of Brockton, William Barry (and Monica) of Maryland and Steven Barry (and Cheryl) of California; loving grandmother of Ashley, Christine, Philip and Peter; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
