James Donald "Don" Edwards Jr., age 41, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.
He was a carpenter and had been a resident of Yorktown for the past eight years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and participated in Sunday School and was a member of the choir.
Preceding him in rest was his grandmother, "Nanny."
Surviving members of his family include his wife, Linda R. Edwards; daughter, Heather L. Edwards; mother, Vivian Edwards; brother and sisters, Johnny Edwards, Robin Neatherland, and Linda McQuillen; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; close friend, GOGO ; and a community of friends who loved him. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the graveside at Peninsula Memorial Park with the Rev. Ryan Davidson presiding.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Peninsula Rescue Mission.

Service arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton.
