Vertle V. Eddy, 90, Florence, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at her residence.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, with Brother Kelby Smith and Brother Bill Bagents officiating. Interment will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.She was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and a member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ.Survivors include her daughters, Vonda Briley and her husband, Lonnie, of Florence, Joyce James of Rogersville; sister, Virta King of Rogersville; brother, Vernon King of Columbia, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jason Briley, Kenneth James, Tommy James, Belinda Williams, Trina Dodd, Robin Spidle, Carla Latiolais; 11 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, is directing.
