Mrs. Morrill was born May 30, 1922, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of the late Gerard and Edna (Driscoll) Harrington. She was a graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls and was a medical claims investigator for Liberty Mutual Insurance for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved her trips to the Friday night races as well as to the casinos. Eileen was a longtime resident of the Gilmartin section of Waterbury where she enjoyed many good friendships and activities. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church, where she was also a past member of the Ladies Guild.
Among her survivors are her daughters, Maureen Morrill-Jones and her husband, Cliff, of Warren, Margie Ann Dunn and her husband, David, of Naugatuck, and her son, Robert Morrill and his wife, Madeline, also of Naugatuck. She also leaves seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morrill will be held 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St., Waterbury, to St Francis Xavier Church, Baldwin Street, Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
