DONALD J. HUGUENARD, 87, of Brookville, Ind., died on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at St. Andrews Health Campus, Batesville, Ind. Born Dec. 15, 1923, in New Haven, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bernadette (Gerardot) Huguenard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a Surgical Technician in the Medical Corps. He was a retired truck driver, and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Brookville. Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Huguenard of Brookville; one daughter, Judy Murphy of Naples, Fla.; a son, John D. Huguenard of Winter Park, Fla.; nine sisters, Lavon Squier, Helen (Charles) Bandelier, Rita (Russell) Fry, and Teresa (James) Butt, all of New Haven, Mary Ann (Harry) Summey of Apache Junction, Ariz., Joan Pranger of Summerfield, Fla., Delores Bowers of Fort Wayne, Regina Brunelli of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Judy Huguenard of New Haven; five brothers, Virgil Huguenard of Monroeville, Bernon Huguenard and Joe Huguenard, both of Fort Wayne, and Louis Huguenard and John Huguenard, both of New Haven; 15 grandchildren; as well as many great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Huguenard; a son, Donald P. Huguenard; and two brothers, Robert and Francis Huguenard. Funeral Mass is noon Thursday, July 14, 2011, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Brookville. The Rev. C. Ryan McCarthy, pastor of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Brookville, officiating. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville. Entombment is 1 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, 3500 Lake Ave., Ft. Wayne.
