Donald A. Cassini, 73, died at 6:15 PM Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, in St. Elizabeth Center. He was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Lafayette, to the late Anthony and Aurelia DeNicoli Cassini. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1951.

His marriage was to Edith M. "Rusty" Howard on Aug. 27, 1955, at St. Boniface Church, where he was a lifelong member.

Mr. Cassini was co-owner of Cassini Tile and Terrazzo, and D&D Metal Fabricating. He enjoyed art, hunting, fishing, stamp and coin collecting, wood working, and creating items in granite.

He is survived by a daughter Donna Cassini (husband Dale Knowlton) of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Rita (husband Anders) Westboe of Vero Beach, FL; and a brother, David (wife JoAnn) Cassini of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony "Tony" Cassini; and a sister, Linda Hogsett.
