Singer. She was seven when her parents moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. By 1969, she was living in France and enrolled in the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille. In Saint-Tropez, she meets Serge Koolenn. At that time, she had been singing casually in night clubs. In November of 1971, she, Koolenn along with three others form the group "Once Upon a Time." When Joelle wins a singing competition, this enables the group to record their first album "Rien d'un ciel." It was a success. In the next six years, they record three additional albums. A duet sung by Joelle and Richard Dewitte "I dreamed of her" was their biggest success. By 1979 Richard Dewitte leaves the group and it breaks up. Mogensen releases a solo album in 1979, but the reception is lukewarm. In 1981, she tried her hand as television host for the program again with mixed results. She was found dead at a friend's apartment from acute pulmonary edema. Her last single "Aime-moi" was released posthumously.
