He was of the Baptist faith, a retired Lt. Colonel with 21 years service in the Air Force serving during WWII and the Cold War. His love was flying and he flew every type of bomber the Air Force had at the time. After retiring, he flew for 19 years as a general aviation pilot in Northwest Arkansas. He was a doer and will always be remembered for his boundless energy, for his friendship, love and great sense of humor.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Hazel Weston Adams, five brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years; two daughters, two sons, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
