Randy Rosacker, 21, a Marine Corporal stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina was killed in a firefight in Iraq on the 23rd of March 2003. Randy was born in Alamosa, Colorado on April 15, 1981 to Rodney Rosacker and Debra Cavaliere Rosacker. As a military child, Randy moved several times growing up, living in Connecticut, Virginia and finally in San Diego, California where he spent his junior high and high school years.

In his high school years he played and lettered in football, wrestling and baseball and was selected as Athlete of the Year two years. He graduated from Junipero Serra High School in San Diego, June 2000, and was in boot camp with the United States Marines three days after. He married his high school sweetheart Brooke of San Diego. After graduation from boot camp he was transferred to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Randy is survived by his wife Brooke, his mother and father, sisters Samantha and Antoinette. Grandparents Doug and Pat Rosacker, John and Joan Cavaliere. Great-grandparents Bill Moye, Harriett Parker and and Nova Cavaliere. Uncles Jeff Rosacker, John Cavaliere, Brian Glynn. Aunts Pam Glynn and Janet Rosacker. Cousins Shawna Glynn, Amber Rosacker, Ashley Rosacker, Austin Cavaliere and Alyssa Cavaliere. He also has numerous other great-aunts, uncles and cousins in the San Luis Valley.

His funeral will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Alamosa, Co, on Friday, April 4 at 11am with a full military burial at Home Lake Cemetery immediately following.

A Memorial Fund to support his Battalion in Iraq in lieu of flowers can be donated to Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union, 1025 Burwell St., Bremerton, Wash, 98337 c/o R. Rosacker Memorial Fund, or directly to Rogers Family Mortuary, 205 State Avenue, Alamosa, Co. Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa in care of arrangements.
