Shirley A. Jungbluth, age 82, of Dodgeville, formerly of Ridgeway, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Bloomfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness. The former Shirley Jorgenson was born on October 31, 1928 near Dodgeville to Henry and Phyllis (McBoyle) Jorgenson. She married James L. Jungbluth on September 16, 1947. The couple farmed near Ridgeway until retiring to the Village of Ridgeway in 1973. James preceded her in death on March 25, 1977. Shirley worked at Janlin Plastics in Mt. Horeb and Carnes in Verona. She enjoyed drawing pictures, painting ceramics, growing flowers and watching old movies. An animal lover, she adored her cats Sparky and Misty and her bird, Buddy. Her greatest joy was time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Angie Jungbluth; a brother, Arthur Jorgenson and a sister, Marjorie Houff.

Shirley is survived by three children, Peggy (Ronald) Doescher of Rock City, IL James Jr. (Pat) of Mineral Point and Linda (Les) Evans of Dodgeville; seven grandchildren, Tonya (Ricky) Mitchell; Heather (Brian) West; Pete (Annabeth) Evans; Tracy Evans; Jason (Lia) Gust; Jeff (Amy) Doescher and Craig Doescher; sixteen great grandchildren, Emily; Jordan; Brooke; Josh; Brandon; Morgan; Ryan; Anthony; Michael; Elizabeth; James; Anthony; Sarah; Olivia; Jamison and LeRoy; one great great grandson; four sisters, Muriel (Tom) Morrissey; Dorothy Jungbluth; Rita Jenkins and Dianne Trainor; two brothers, Darrell Jorgenson; and Ron Jorgenson; a special niece, Pat Hohlstein; a sister-in-law, Jean Jorgenson as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Dodgeville United Methodist Church. Pastor Mary Anne Conklin will officiate with burial in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
