Radio Reporter. Herbert Oglevee Morrison was the radio reporter, who witnessed the Hindenburg disaster in 1937 and uttered the famous words, "Oh The Humanity, All The Passengers. I Don't Believe It." Morrison was sent to Lakehurst, New Jersey, by the WLS Radio Station, out of Chicago, Illinois, to cover the story. The idea was to interview passengers on the Hindenburg for a Sunday news special report, but instead he became the first eye-witness to one of transportation's worst history disasters. After the disaster, he returned to Chicago, where he continued his career as a lifelong radio reporter. His voice can be heard as the narrator on the documentary specials, "Hindenburg Disaster Newsreel Footage" In 1937, and "The Hindenburg" in 1975.
