Benoit A. Morin, 82, of Manchester died September 26, 2009 at the Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on July 20, 1927, the son of Alonzo and Amanda (Doyon) Morin. After attending St. Marie High School, he served in the US Army Aircorps.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a dockman with St. Johnsbury Trucking for many years.

Benoit was a member of the American Legion, Henry J. Sweeney Post #2, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Mount Royal Club, and the Manchester Fly Fishing Association.

Members of his family include his wife, Anne M. (Magee) Morin of Manchester; one son, Ben Morin and his wife Diane of Manchester; one daughter, Janet Hamel and her husband Lenny of Goffstown; two grandchildren, David and Liane Morin.
