Billie Ynez Pratt, daughter of John Frank Pratt (known as Frank) and Louella Coleman, was born on May 24, 1927 in Kanima, Haskell County, Oklahoma. She had Cherokee Indian blood.
Billie met and married Nathan Peevyhouse on March 1, 1946 in Ft. Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas and they had eight children; Joe, Deon, Danny, Janet, Roger Dale, Donald Franklin "Donnie", Yolanda and Glenda.
When first married she lived in Keota, Haskell County, Oklahoma. Shortly after Nathan was discharged from the service on May 5, 1947, they moved to California with their three sons. They lived in Visalia, Richmond and Milpitas before settling down in Alviso where they bought a home and raised their children.
After her husband retired in 1981, they sold their home in Alviso, California and they moved to Mustang, Oklahoma to enjoy their retirement.
She passed away on November 16, 1996 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma and was cremated.
Her ashes were interned in the arms of her husband of 50 years on March 5, 2003 at Ft. Sill National Cementery in Elgin, Comanche County, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Donald Franklin "Donnie".
