Cordella Mae Kimmerling was the second daughter of four children born to Margaret née Holle and Raymond Kimmerling. Born in Salina, she grew up in Pleasant Valley, Oregon. She married Russell N. Nelson in 1958 and together they raised three children and lived in Gresham, Oregon for over 45 years. She was a member of Lutheran church, and her interests included sewing and cooking. She was survived by her husband and three children, Mark Nelson of Fairview, OR, Debra Jantz of Sandy, OR, Trina Nelson of Gresham, Oregon. (Bio by: Jay Lance)
