Born in Mecklenburg, Germany, he died at the age of 76 years. He is buried next to Wilhelm G.F. Moere, 1857-1873.
He married Sophia Struwe in Germany about 1822. she born Stargard, Germany in 1801. Sophia died on an unknown date in MO.
Christopher was a farmer. Christopher was involved in a plot to overthrow the king. When it did not work they had to flee for their lives. The family immigrated from Germany and landed in Galveston, TX. Dec.26, 1853. The land where the astrodome sat was owned by Christopher. He did not believe in Slavery. They moved to Platte County, MO. to escape slavery, took their possesions by steamboat from New Orleans. They found MO. to be a slve state. His wife died in MO. He moved to less expensive land in NE. which was a free state. no record was found of hi wfie's death of burial place. She would have died before 1861 being before husband took residency in NE. In a history book mentions 2 additional children, but it is assumed they died in Germany because not mentioned after they came to Americ. They could have died in infancy or as small children.
