Destiny Lynn Vincent, baby daughter of Rebecca and Eric Vincent, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Eric and Rebecca Dockery Vincent, Duffield, VA; sisters, Allison LeeAnn Vincent, Lindsey Grace Vincent, and brother Brady (Yeah) Palmer, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Ray and Linda Dockery, Duffield, VA; paternal grandparents, Venus Vincent, Duffield, VA and Charles and Alice Vincent, Big Stone Gap, VA; Aunt Mama, Brenda Dishner, Duffield, VA; special friends, Christel Starnes, Jennie Horne, Donna Whiten, Sharon Goodson, Charlie R. Taylor, Johnny and Peggy Hackney, and Heather Hurd; along with "a whole stack of" aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Rye Cove Methodist Church. A celebration of Destiny will be conducted Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., with her father, Eric Vincent, Papa, Rev. Ray Dockery, and Rev. Johnny Hackney officiating. Nancy Rhoton will provide the music.
Graveside services will follow at the Carter-Boatright Cemetery, Rye Cove Community. Brady Palmer and Daniel Dockery will serve as pallbearers.
