Born in Elm Springs, AR, he was a son of the late Walter and Zula Griggs. He was a retired field service engineer and a WW II navy veteran. Survivors other than his wife are four daughters, Carol Sisman, Debbie Kilgore, Cathy Diaz and Cheryl Ramey, all of Richmond; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. by Pastor Alden Reed. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
