Funeral services for John Henry Reagan, 59, were held from the Hearne Church of Christ at 2pm Saturday, January 18, with Minister Royce Ingersall officiating, assisted by D. E.M. Boyd.
Burial was in Norwood Cemetery with Heartfield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Gervase Reagan, James Reagan, Bobby Sullivan, Cecil Reagan, Robert Louie Reagan, and Carlton Hicks. Named as honorary pallbearers were Bob Reagan, Oliver Hicks, Marshall Hicks, J.C. Reagan, Dewitt Reagan, Charley Reagan, Travis Reagan and Doyle Reagan.
Mr. Reagan was born in the Bald Prairie community August 29, 1909, and died January 9 in Maryville, Tennessee, where he had gone to visit a daughter. A Southern Pacific Railway employee, Mr. Reagan had made Hearne his home for many years.
He is survived by his wife of Hearne; two sons, John Barney Reagan and Marshall Reagan of Hearne; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Stolicki of Cleveland, Mrs. Billie Degelia of Hearne and Mrs. Martha Harmon of Maryville, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren.
Also, his mother, Mrs. Barney Reagan of Houston; one brother, Alex Reagan of Houston, and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Reagan of Houston, Mrs. Lige Stewart (Barney Ward) and Mrs. Bertho Gregory (Lois), both of Calvert.
