He was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania on November 29th 1949 in came to San Diego California at the age of 5. He met and married the love of his life Christine Montalvo shortly thereafter. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served in the Vietnam War. He was blessed with two children Eric and Kimberly.
Jeff worked for the San Diego Police Department and US Forestry Department then started his career as a lineman with SDG&E and continued working as a journeyman lineman with Diversified Utility Services.
Jeff's passions in life were fishing, hunting and spending time with family at Lake Henshaw and most important in his life was serving the Lord.
He was honored with a lifesaving award from IBEW on July 4th 1976 by Local Union #465. The award reads "The greatest service to mankind is the saving of a human life. The above named member of this Local Union, with presence of mind, prompt action and genuine concern for fellow man did perform the service on the date specified. All members of the IBEW join in expressing sincere gratitude". Jeff is continuing to save lives by being an organ donor to The Gift of Life Donor Program.
Jeffrey was loved by many and continues to live on through his family including his beloved wife Chris, son Eric and Vivian Leibold, daughter Kim and Dan Glasser, and grandchildren Lance and David Jones, Micah and Mariah Glasser.
Jeff was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
