Mrs. Vaughn was born at McEwen, Tenn. on April 4, 1897, the daughter of Mrs. Mary Susan Etheridge and the late Doss Etheridge. On January 18, 1914, she was married to Willie Vaughn and the family moved to Pemiscot county in 1936.
She leaves her husband and her mother, Mrs. Etheridge of Union City; three sons, Tommie D. and Carl M Vaughn of St. Louis and Lester B. Vaughn of Columbia, Tenn.; four daughters Mrs. Esther Rogers and Mrs. Mary W. Jones of Caruthersville, Mrs. Lessie B. Collins of Columbia, Tenn. and Mrs. Betty Stroud of Villa Ridge, Mo.
Also a brother and three sisters, Roy Etheridge, Mrs. Leoda Denson, Mrs. Christine Tillman and Mrs. Lillie Cryer survived, along with 29 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
