Marion Cuttino Burbage, widow of T. Miles Burbage, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 in The Rice Home in Columbia, SC.
Mrs Burbage was born December 1, 1920, in Columbia, SC, a daughter of Eunice Seay Cuttino and John Sandiford Cuttino. She was a direct descendent of Jeremie Cothonneau who immigrated to Carolina in 1687.
She was a 1940 graduate of Winthrop College, a devoted wife and mother, former teacher and newspaper secretary/librarian. She was a member of Carteret Street United Methodist Church and community affairs. She was a member and past president of the Beaufort Garden, a member of the Beaufort Benevolent Society, Meals on Wheels, and a Hospice volunteer.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Miles (Mary Jo) Burbage, Jr. of Columbia, and John Marion (Lisa) Burbage of Charleston; a sister, Mary Cuttino Sink of Charleston; a brother, the Reverend Dr. Thomas Edward Cuttino of Columbia; four grandchildren, John Jason Burbage of Charleston, Daniel Seay Burbage of Columbia, Mary Ann Burbage (Sherman)Free of Mount Pleasant, and Megan Christina Burbage of Columbia.
Services were held Monday, October 2, 2006 at Carteret Street United Methodist Church in Beaufort.
