Bernard, as the third son, was named for his father. Bernard worked initially for Rand Ingersoll moving to the NY Telephone Company first in North Tarrytown then in Yonkers. He retired from NY Tel in 1934. He was active in Court Fremont of the Order of Foresters of America and a member of Holy Name Society of St. Teresa of Avila. He married Mary O'Keefe on November 20, 1890 at St. Teresa of Avila Church; the witnesses were his cousin William F. Kearney and Katie McDonough. The family resided at 15 Francis St. in Sleepy Hollow. Bernard died at home on May 12, 1937 following a sudden illness.
