Margaret Abel, 92, of Glover, formerly of Newport, died on Sunday, February 27, in Glover where she resided at the Union House Nursing Home for the past few years.

She was born on October 30, 1918, in Lunenburg, a daughter of Philip and Loretta (Hartshorn) Guillemette.

Her hobbies included reading, doing crossword puzzles, and enjoying her family and life in general.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son Philip and his wife, Sharon Dukett; her daughter Darlene Rever and her husband, Gary, all of Newport; grandchildren Cathy and Scott Rever of Derby; Tracy Turner of Farmington, Connecticut, Lisa Reed of Newport, Leon Dukett of West Charleston, Amy Buck of Newport Center and Scott Gervais of St. Johnsbury; by her great-grandchildren: Tyler and Trevor Brown of Derby, Cady Polgroszek of St. Albans, Aidan Davis of Newport , Joshua and Natasha Buck of Newport Center; by great-great-grandaughter Emma Polgroszek of St. Albans; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Abel Sr.; by sons Thomas and Leon Dukett; stepdaughter Gloria Thomas; and by several brothers and sisters.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Pine Grove Cemetary.
