Died AT age 84. Karyl was a resident of Long Beach since 1950. He was a junior high school teacher/counselor and high school counselor for 38 years for the Long Beach Unified School District from 1951 - 1989. He loved being a teacher/counselor and helping his students. Karyl also proudly served his country as a pilot in the US Army Air Force during WWII. He then dedicated 25 more years to the Air Force Reserves and attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. In his spare time, beyond family activities, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and traveling.
