She was born in Aurora to William Lee and Nancy Louisia Driver Hayes. She was a schoolteacher in Madison County from 1919 to 1921 and owner and founder of Ozark Cleaners in Fayetteville, which she operated for 20 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a Past Matron. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, where she was a past Queen. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville and past president of several Sunday school classes.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was 100 when she passed away in Fayetteville, AR. I have a copy of her obit and her picture from The Morning News. Her obit only says "services" but I got her burial place from a relative of hers by an e-mail.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, Mo., 63131-3597, or to the First Baptist Church, 20 E. Dickson St., Fayetteville, AR 72701
