Pvt. Wayne Miller Killed In Action
Former Resident of Midway Area,
Was serving in Italy
Pvt. Wayne Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Miller of Midway community, Rt. 2, Detroit, was killed in action, Aug. 18, in Italy, according to a War Department message to his relatives. His wife, the former Miss Belle Townes and their baby live in Fort Worth. He leaves also two sister and a brother, Mrs. Dale Adams here and Joel Miller and Frances Miller of Midway.
Reared in this vicinity, he attended Detroit High School, and enlisted in the Army about 18 month ago. He had been overseas more than a year.
He would have been 22 years old, Aug. 24.
