Eliza Jane Sublette daughter of James Garrett Sublette and Eliza Carver married Christopher Columbus Swarts son of Jacob Swarts and Nancy Mullikin(K). Christopher and Eliza had at least seven children; John William, James Columbus, Cloey Ann, Franz(son), Ella Jane, Minnie Bell, and Ida.

Eliza Jane Swarts, daughter of the late James and Eliza Carver Sublette, was born November 11, 1858, in Montgomery County, Missouri. She departed this life May 11, 1944, at her home in Wright City, Missouri, at the ripe old age of 85 years and 6 months. On April 19, 1874, she was united in marriage to Christopher Columbus Swarts of Shelbina, Missouri, at the home of her parents in Cedar City, Missouri, by Reverend Wilson. To this union eleven children were born; six daughters and five sons. Four of the children died in early childhood. Her husband preceded her in death on January 13, 1923. In 1898 she was truly converted and united with the Wright City Baptist Church, to which she remained faithful until God called her home. She was a mother who was interested in both the physical and spiritual needs of her children and would stress how much more important it is to put God first in their lives. Those who survive their mother are; John, James, Cloey(Mrs Frank Tomek), Franz, Ella(Mrs Charles Tesson), Minnie(Mrs A. M. Bryant), Ida Mae(Mrs Charles Witt): two daughters-in-law, four sons-in-law, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service were conducted by Julius Nieburg in the chapel and at the Baptist Church. Interment was in the Wright City Cemetery.
