Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Belle Godwin Barrow, 82, widow of the late William A. Barrow, will be held at 10am Monday, June 20, 2011 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. Burial will be in Manning Cemetery, Maxville, Florida. Born January 9, 1929 in Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Barrow died Friday, June 17, 2011, in a local hospital. She was a retired Fraud Investigator from Bell South. Mrs. Barrow was a member of Southpoint Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Linda B. (Gary) Williams; two sons, David A. (Doris) Barrow and William H. (Paula) Barrow; three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Adams, Mrs. Pauline Fouraker and Mrs. Elizabeth Prosser all of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3pm until 5pm on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southpoint Baptist Church Mission programs.
