WILLIAM J. ABBOTT of West Memphis died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Citizens Chapel with burial following in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. Mr. Abbott, 79, a retired truck driver for Boisie Cascade, was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a Mason with the Jackson, Tenn. Lodge, and a member of Ingram Blvd. Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Bertie Abbott; two daughters, Phyllis Judkins and Billie Smith, both of West Memphis, and three grandchildren.
