Vol I page 315 John Averell and Mary Stewart are listed as the parents of Guy Averell. It is a book by Clara A Avery. Maine Vital Records show a marriage for John and Mary on 9 April 1774. So unless Guy and his sister, Mary Malus, were born when Mary STewart Averell was in her forties, something does not jibe. Perhaps Mary was 14 or 15 when she married John. That was not unusual in the 1700's.
