Mary Lou "Nanny" Chambers, 82, of Stockbridge, passed away June 12, 2011. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be sorely missed. In addition to being an avid prayer warrior, Mary Lou was a master of crochet, crafting such things as blankets, scarves, hats, and outfits for everyone she knew, especially the little ones. Mary Lou was an active member of the Charity Baptist Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her husband, Milton Chambers; five daughters, Sharon and Jimmy Roddy, Kathy and Billy Dixon, Deborah and Darrell Bruce, Mel and Ben McKenzie and Gale and Eddie Knox; many grandchildren and great-grandchilren; sister, Ollie Waters; several nieces, mephews, friends and extended family members.

Funeral service held June 15 in the Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home with sons-in-law, Ben McKenzie and Jimmy Roddy officiating. Interment in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
