DIED IN THE WEST
Frank McCurdy Expired in Arizona Last Saturday

Frank McCurdy, a well-known traveling man of this city, died Saturday at Buckeye, Arizona, a little town located forty miles from Phoenix. His death
was due to lung trouble.

Mr. McCurdy left Bloomington the day after Christmas, hoping that a change of climate would benefit his health. Letters for a few weeks, after he arrived in the west, indicated that there was an improvement in his condition. The first of last week his wife received a message announcing that her husband was critically ill. Mrs. McCurdy and daughter, Ilene, left at once and arrived at Buckeye by stage coach on Thursday. The body will arrive in Bloomington about Friday and the funeral will be held here.

Mr. McCurdy traveled for a Louisville dry goods house and moved to Bloomington from Bedford about six years ago. He previously lived at Owensburg. He leaves a wife and the following children: Wyrtis, Ilene, Eula and Irwin. He was over 50 years old. Mrs. McCurdy is the only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Miller, west Sixth street. Mr. McCurdy was a member of the Christian church and an office bearer in that denomination. He has lived a consistent christian life. He also belonged to a Railway religious organization.

Details of the funeral will be announced later.
