Lou Ellen was born in Brunswick County on November 11, 1942 and was the daughter of the late John Newman Lancaster and Vuena Robinson Lancaster. She was employed with the Brunswick County School System for many years. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Lou Ellen had a passion directing weddings and making flower arrangements. She had a tremendous love for her family and being with them and also her many special friends. She will always be remembered for humor and quick wit.
She is survived by her faithful and devoted husband of fifty years and seven months, Junior White; a son, Greg White and wife Delores of Supply; grandson, Barry Chadwick and wife Tracy of Whiteville and her precious twin great granddaughters Charlotte and Carson; her sister, Mary Ann Barnes of Supply and her children Benita Hernandez and David Barnes and many special nieces and nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 17, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Foyd Bennett and Reverend Bill McNeill officiating. Interment will follow in the Lancaster Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Freddie Fulford, Tim Stone, Rick Perkins, Larry Holden, Steve Brown and Waddell Clemmons.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service and other times from the residence.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and visits and meals provided during her illness.
