Mrs. Lou Ester Murphy Dishman, age 100 of Sparta, passed away Monday evening, March 25, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Dishman was born September 2, 1918 in Livingston, Tennessee to the late Willie & Lily Murphy. She was a retired shirt factory worker. When she was was not sewing at work, she was sewing and quilting at home. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Hershel Dishman; children Bobby Dishman, Otis Dishman; grandchildren Jack Simmons, Randy Geer; three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her three daughters Betty Simmons, Bonnie Geer and Anna Ruth Williams

Sons: Donald Dishman and Ronald Dishman

Thirteen grandchildren

A host of great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Big Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until service time at Hunter Funeral Home. John Lawson will officiate.

Logan Wikre, Lowell Wikre, Dennis Geer, Derrick Geer, Oscar Sims and Blake Dishman will serve as pallbearers.
