He was 5’ 5” tall, fair complexion, hazel eyes, and red hair. Born in Grayson, VA, employed as a farmer, married to Elzina Marquis. Mustered out at the end of the war Sep. 14, 1865 in Chattanooga, TN. Notes: A Private from 72nd IN Co. E before consolidating into 44th IN Jul. 1, 1865. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #569503 Oct. 14, 1889. Belonged to Brookston, White Co., IN, G. A. R. On 1870 and 1880 Tippecanoe Co., IN censuses.
