Roberta Willie Roberts Hollifield, 81, of 91 Flynn Branch Road, went to be with her Lord Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence.
A native of Madison County and resident of Buncombe County since 1960, she retired from Burlington Industries in 1968 where she was employed in the spinning department.
Mrs. Hollifield was the daughter of the late Norman Roberts and Emma Shelton Roberts Cody and the wife of Clarence Hollifield who died Oct. 28, 2004.
Surviving are her daughter, Emma Jean Hawkins of St. Ignace, MI; son, Gary Thomas Hollifield and wife Wanda with whom she made her home; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Cindy Coleman, Care Partner Hospice Chaplin officiating. Entombment will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
