Lumley H. Ambrose
Mrs. Lumley Howard Ambrose, 72,
died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital after
a long illness.
She was born in Bulloch County and
lived in Port Wentworth and Savannah
before moving to Effingham County in
1960. She was a member of Jasper
Springs Baptist Church. She was a retired
welder with great Dane Trailer
Corp.
Surviving are her husband, Brewton
Ambrose of Savannah; four daughters,
Mary N. Hall of Detroit, Deloris Wyatt of
Clinton, Md., Palma Simmons and Betty
J. Reed, both of Rincon; two sisters,
Mary P. Jordan ad Minnie L. Ulmer,
both of Port Wentworth; 10 grandchildren
; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Thomas
C. Strickland Funeral Home,, Rincon
Chapel, burial in Forest Lawn Memory
Gardens.
