Gloria was born in Burley, Idaho then later moved with her family to Porterville, Utah. In her teenage years, Gloria moved to Seattle area with Bertha & Royal. Here Gloria met David, they loved to dance and soon fell in love and married during the war. After his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, David and Gloria moved to Salem where they raised their family, later owning and operating the family business, Midway TV & Appliance in Albany. Leisure activities included traveling abroad, RVing, camping, boating, crabbing and fishing. Gloria also enjoyed their beach home, bowling, gardening, golf and visits with their large and extended family. In her later years, Gloria enjoyed her Silver Slippers exercise group and membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, Four Corners Ward. Gloria passed on June 3rd with her family at her side. Gloria enjoyed a full life and was anticipating the joy and peace in reuniting with loved ones who have gone on to be with the Lord ahead of her. She will be forever in our hearts and memories, and her smile and hugs will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Gloria's memory to Guide Dogs of the Desert, P.O. Box 1692, Palm Springs, Ca., 92263 or the Humane Society. The family extends special thanks to Willamette Valley Hospice for their loving care and guidance. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
