Mrs. Crassie Fowler Gause, 72, wife of Mayo Gause of the Pleasant Union section of Horry County, died at the home of her son, Pershing Gause, of West Broadway, Myrtle Beach, at 3:40 a.m. Sunday following a short illness.
Funeral services were held Monday at the graveside in Grainger Cemetery in the Red Bluff Section with the Rev. Blease Brown officiating.
Mrs. Gause was born in Horry County, daughter of the late Collier and Clarkie Ann Barker Fowler. She was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert Gause of Charleston, and Pershing Gause of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Jempsie Gause of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Narsie Tillman of Myrtle Beach, Mrs. Doll Faircloth of Star Route 3, Conway, and Mrs. Amellia Gilmore of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
