The daughter of Perry Oliver Butcher and Rhoda Jacobs, "Anna" married Charles Albert Kerr on 26 Sep 1895 in Monroe County, Indiana. He was a machinist, and they were the parents of 1 child.

Anna, Charles and their daughter moved to St. Lake City, Utah in the late 1890's.

After their divorce, Charles later remarried.

Known children from first marriage: 1 daughter.

Anna worked as a school teacher until her retirement.

Her second husband was Frank William Cawley. They married on 22 Jun 1905 in Monroe County. The son of John Cawley and Ellen Lane, Frank was born on 08 Jul 1879.

Frank moved to Portsmouth, Virginia by 1930; however, Anna was not living with him when the census was taken that year. He continued to live in Portsmouth for many years and worked as a foreman for the W.P.A. in the 1940's.

They eventually were divorced.

Children from second marriage: Unknown.

At the time of her death due to kidney disease, Anna was 61 years, 8 months and 28 days old. She was buried on 06 Jul 1937.

Frank died sometime after 1942. Anna's first husband, Charles, passed away in 1951.

Wedding Announcement:

A pretty country home wedding was that this morning at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Butcher, east of the city, when their daughter, Mrs. Anna Kerr, was united in marriage to Frank W. Cawley of Greencastle, by Rev. Eugene Neubauer.

The ceremony was pronounced at 9 o'clock, and only immediate friends were present. The bride is very well known here and is quite popular among her acquaintances, and the groom is a leading young businessman of his home city. Mr. and Mrs. Cawley will take a wedding tour in the northwest, and returning will be at home in Greencastle after July 10th. Hearty congratulations of all their friends follow them.
