Carl C. Foust, 59, of 722 Kirkwood Avenue who was injured March 27 in a accident at the Arthur H. Newmann and Brothers warehouse, died Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital.
Mr. Foust a structural iron worker for the Neumann firm for 10 years, was injured when a 2 ton beam fell on him at the warehouse at E. 4th and Hayes Street.
Born in Warren County, Mr. Foust lived in Des Moines 40 years. He was a member of the Structural Iron Workers Union Local 67.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the Hamiltons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunsey Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow Lily; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Adams of Wilmington, CA; 2 sons, Carl W. and Ernest R.of Des Moines; 3 brothers; Leo of Spring Hill, Kinsey of Indianola and Ellis of Des Moines; 6 sisters, Mrs. Esther Gilbert of Dodge Center MN, Mrs. Ada Perkins of Spring Hill, and Mrs. Bonnie Dunagan, Mrs. Imogene Dunagan, Mrs. Jennie de Capus and Mrs. Nora Blackford, all of des Moines, and 6 grandchildren.
