Mrs. Sauls was born on August 24, 1945 in Glennville, Georgia. She was a daughter of the late John Stanfield & Eva May Weathers. Mrs. Sauls worked and retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
She was a member at Capital City Baptist Church for thirty-one years. She worked in the Sunday School Nursery for twenty-nine years. She had a great love for children, family, and her garden.
Survivors include her husband, James Sauls, Sr.; son, James Sauls, Jr.; daughter, Eva Andrews (Scott); granddaughters Sydney & Emily Andrews; brother, Bruce Stanfield (Jackie); nieces, Connie Stanfield Humphrey, Amanda Cuellar-Campbell (Bill), Katelynn Campbell; nephews, Max Campbell, Gabriel Cuellar, James & Matthew Sauls; brother-in-law, Malcolm Sauls (Gail).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene, Larry, & John Ed Stanfield; and a sister, Mary Priest.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Capital City Baptist Church, with The Rev. Paul Monroe officiating. Burial followed at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
The Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Columbia, assisted the family with the arrangements.
