She made her home south of Johnson, with her sister Clara, now deceased. She attended school at Greenfield Rural School in Nemaha County.
Adela lived for a few years in Elk Creek and then was admitted to the Maple Grove Home. She was later transferred to the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Ne. where she passed away June 28, 1998, having reached the age of 90 years, 3 months and 11 days.
She is survived by her nieces; Mildred Luedders and husband Lavern of Pawnee City, Alice Beethe, widow of Lawrence Beethe of Elk Creek, Nelva Beethe, widow of Owen Beethe of Steinauer, Norma Kettelhake and husabnd Arnold of Eagle, Lois Clement and husband Rudy of Phoenix, AZ. and Gladys Doerr and husband Melvin of Omaha, nephews;Glenn Beethe and wife Ellen of Elk Creek and Lloyd Beethe and wife Marian of Tecumseh and other relatives and friends.
Services held July 2, 1998 at St. James Lutheran Church, rural Humboldt, Nemaha, NE. officiated by Rev. Eric and Amalia Spruth-Janssen. Interment in the St. James Church Cemetery, arrangements by Wherry Mortuary.
