Robert was one of the first class of flying cadets. He was already training when Pearl Harbor was attached December 7, 1941. He got his wings December 12, 1941. WWII bomber pilot in the South Pacific from January 1942-June 1943. Recipient of the Silver Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Lots of newspaper write-ups, war hero, colonel in Air Force, absolutely wonderful father. Married in July 1943. After tour of duty, he was a flight instructor for new cadets, then assigned to Occupied Germany. Got BS degree in Civil Engineering at Mississippi State on the GI bill. Worked as head of the Highway Dept for the state. Couldn't have asked for a better daddy. Brother of Charles Lamar Price. Father of Cealia, Nancy, and Beth.
