Dale J. Woods, age 65 of Covington died Monday, July 12, 2004. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Snellville United Methodist Church. Rev. David Walters and Rev. Doug Joyner will officiate. Burial Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. A member of Snellville United Methodist Church, Dale graduated from Florida State University in 1966 with a B.S. degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. In 2002, he retired from Gate Gourmet International Inc., formerly Dobbs House International, Inc. He is survived by wife, Margaret Woods, Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Cliff Tharpe, Loganville; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Brooke Woods, Dublin; mother, Eleanor Woods, Douglasville; brother, Larry Woods, Oro Valley, AZ; sister, Joan Moore, Sutherlin, OR; grandchildren, Henry and George Tharpe, Hannah, Parker and Abby Woods; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Snellville United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 2428 Main Street, Snellville, Georgia 30078 or Embracing Hospice Care, 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30340.
