Born in Pea Ridge, Washington County, she was the widow of Ezekiel Mathias Midgett and the daughter of the late Henry and Virginia Sawyer.
Mrs. Midgett was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Diane Gretchko of Kill Devil Hills; two sons: William A Midgett of Kitty Hawk and Ezekiel W. Midgett, Jr. of Harbinger; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. at Twiford's Memorail Chapel with the rev. Robert Pitsch officiating. Burial was in New Hollywood Cemetery. Twiford's Memorial Chapel in Elizabeth City is in charge of arrangements.
