Dominic S. Andrejczyk, 89, of Holyoke passed away Friday May 27, 2011, peacefully at his home. He was born in Easthampton on April 26, 1922, the eldest son of the late Kostanty and Rozalia (Baclawcka) Andrejczyk. He was educated in the Easthampton Schools at Sacred Heart and Easthampton High School. He was a WWII US Army Air Force Veteran, serving as a member of the Military Police. Dominic was employed as an inspector and assembler at Savage Arms Corp. in Westfield for over 40 years. He also worked as a part-time salesman at the former Simard's jewelry store and at the Sears store in Holyoke for a number of years. Dominic was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Easthampton, presently the Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Easthampton. Dominic's love of the Air Force and photography made him a very frequent visitor to the 104th Tactical Fighter Group at the Barnes Airfield in Westfield, where he befriended and enjoyed taking photos of the many pilots that have served there throughout the years. He was a longtime member of the Holyoke Revolver Club and a member of the NRA Legion of Honor. Dominic's beloved wife of 62 years, Emily (Folta) Andrejczyk passed away in 2008. He leaves his loving son Attorney Donald Andrejczyk and his wife Varee of Holyoke, his cherished grandchildren Dr. Rose Pendala and her husband Brian English of South Hadley, "Jeab" Phoowanart Meechan of Milford, MA, "Bea" Vipawan Meechan and her husband Brian Ballantine and his great-granddaughter Gillian all of Holden, MA, and his sister Alice and her husband Edmund Klin of Easthampton, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday 9AM to 10:30 AM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 17 Clark St. Easthampton. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM at the Our Lady of the Valley Church, Adams St. in Easthampton. Burial with Military Honors will be held in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery immediately following. All are in Easthampton.
