RODANTHE - Clifton Boyd Midgett, 64, died May 20, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Midgett was born in Rodanthe and worked at Lockheed as an airplane mechanic. He was a veteran served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Fairhaven United Methodist Church.

He was the son of Richard W. "Dick" Midgett of Rodanthe, and the late Lennie Midgett Midgett.

He is survived by three sisters: Patricia "Pat" M. Conklin of Navvoo, IL, Cathy M. Satterfield and June M. Midgett, both of Rodanthe.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Irita M. Covey, a brother, Richard Aubrey Midgett, Rowan Dean Midgett and baby boy Midgett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place in the Midgett Family Cemetery in Rodanthe. The family will only be receiving friends at Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Sunday, May 22, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM due to father's health. Twiford's Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
